Because if I get to work on some better projects. And maybe these things can all be done that I've talked about, but so far I've not found that. Now I totally understand DaVinci is a lot more powerful but if it's much slower to do my day-to-day work then that power is a hindrance. I built my presets and that's what is used as the default. All my audio processing is automatically applied at the same time. Why because all my color grading is automatically applied once I drop the clip on the timeline. If I rush I can do it in less than 2 minutes it is ready to upload. So right now from the time that I drop it on my timeline select my in and out and then render and final output. Typically little 30-second spots of talking heads. And sometimes some minor adjustments here are there. So it's literally a rubber stamp just basically selecting the in and out points. I have a very standardized process because I'm shooting in the same location with the same settings the same cameras the same everything. Maybe I was just unlucky with the people that I talked to. I even talked with some DaVinci staff at a trade show that were the so-called experts according to the booth people. And so far nobody's been able to show me that. And I've asked the DaVinci people how do I do the things in it that I do on a daily basis in my workflow. Which one do you think is the better one? Please share your thoughts tooĪctually not Sony anymore. If you would like to read my own thoughts about these aspects more detailedly, you can check out my comparison guide here.
